Like the three previous iterations, the proceedings of COAFRO25 will take place in <strong>French <\/strong>and in <strong>English<\/strong>, with both bilingual and monolingual panels.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #4f4a4a;\">This year\u2019s edition will focus (mainly but not exclusively) on <strong>three major thematic areas<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #4f4a4a;\">(A) Water and land for wellbeing in Africa: the complex relationship between <strong>climate change<\/strong>, the <strong>access to water and land resources<\/strong>, and the diversification and the intensification of the social, economic and political <strong>conflicts <\/strong><em>(<a href=\"http:\/\/cestaf.centre.ubbcluj.ro\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/Specific-Call-Water-Resources.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">see details<\/a>)<\/em><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #4f4a4a;\">(B) The <strong>new forms of communication <\/strong>and the generalization of the use of the <strong>social media <\/strong>has dramatically challenged the political and social frameworks of the African societies<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #4f4a4a;\">(C) The <strong>new wave of democratic challenges <\/strong>that the African societies have been facing in a <strong>geopolitical <\/strong>context marked by the <strong>return of power politics.<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #4f4a4a;\"><strong><em><a href=\"http:\/\/cestaf.centre.ubbcluj.ro\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/Call-COAFRO25.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">DOWNLOAD FULL CALL FOR PAPERS<\/a><\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #4f4a4a;\">Email address for sending contributions: <a style=\"color: #4f4a4a;\" href=\"mailto:afro.conference@ubbcluj.ro\">afro.conference@ubbcluj.ro<\/a><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #4f4a4a;\">Deadline for submission of contributions: July 15, 2025<\/span><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #333399;\"><strong>Appel \u00e0 Contributions <\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"color: #4f4a4a;\">La 4e \u00e9dition du <strong>Congr\u00e8s interdisciplinaire d&rsquo;\u00e9tudes africaines <\/strong>(en ligne\/hybride, \u00e0 Cluj-Napoca) vise \u00e0 r\u00e9unir des sp\u00e9cialistes des \u00e9tudes africaines afin d&rsquo;analyser les transformations politiques en Afrique et les dynamiques politiques et soci\u00e9tales actuelles du continent.
